Mike Cole (pictured above, third from the right) was recognized by the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP) for his volunteer contributions to the association and to the dental industry. NADP credits its volunteers for helping to advance the dental benefits industry and improve access to affordable, quality dental care.
“Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization, said NADP Executive Director Evelyn Ireland. “Volunteers provide leadership, direction, manpower, enthusiasm and energy to advance the dental benefits industry and NADP. We value and appreciate their contributions, and we are pleased to recognize and honor these outstanding individuals.”
Cole joined Dental Care Alliance (DCA) in April 1999 and is currently the vice president of insurance plan management. He oversees insurance relations, revenue cycling and the credentialing departments. Prior to joining DCA, he was a network manager for Prudential and United Concordia Companies, Inc., working in Provider Relations. With more than 25 years working in the dental industry for both plans and the dental support organizations (DSOs), Mike has brought his experience and expertise with provider recruiting and contracting to the NADP Operations Workgroup. Mike designed and wrote the first version of the universal application in 2000 and has been using it with specific plans on behalf of DCA for the last 15 years.
