The Dental Center of South Bend – Pedo, is growing!!

We’re currently looking for a part-time Dental Hygienist to work Fridays at our pediatric office located in South Bend, IN 46617.

This is a great opportunity for a hygienist looking to fill their Fridays. We’re a busy, office with a family like environment, and have an incredible number of long term staff members.

We offer a fun and rewarding place to work, a competitive salary, 30 minute to 1 hour appointments (depending on patient age), and we offer opportunities for live and recorded CE credits.

Our office is conveniently located close to downtown and only 1 mile from Notre Dame. We are looking for a hygienist who enjoys working with children, is compassionate, and has a positive and professional demeanor.

Experience is a plus, but new grads are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active Hygiene license for the state of Indiana
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
